This was fixed in the panel driver with 212400b8ae26a849226eb6e4ac6f76fe61960014 linux/patches6.14/imx8mp-mnt-pocket-reform/pocket-panel/0002-pocket-panel-fix-sleep-add-orientation.patch

Using fbcon=rotate:3 messes up HDMI orientation as well.
