correct/unify some spellings
When I read the sentence, I understand it the following way:
You can boot other operating systems and Linux distributions besides Debian. For example, you can boot FreeBSD, NetBSD and OpenBSD if they [...] provide an
extlinux.conf
.
Now that I know what you want to say I see that it can be read differently as well. Maybe it's only me who failed to parse that sentence.
Ah yes, we talked about that on IRC I think. Yes, independent on how the problem with https://mnt.re/system-image linking to pipeline runs that do not come from the main
branch gets resolved I think it makes sense to add documentation in more places.
whoops, turns out my local clone of the reform repo was last updated more than a month ago. Sorry for the noise!
Yes, one of the major problems for merged-/usr in Debian was, that the path files had on the filesystem were different from the paths that dpkg thought the files would have because the paths went through a merged-/usr symlink. To fix this, all packages in Debian are now moving their files from /
into /usr
so that the view of dpkg again aligns to reality. In the process of this move, the most recent upload of coreutils, moved the ls
binary from /bin
to /usr/bin
.
